Wilton Simpson praises Laurie Pizzo for her longtime service and full engagement in the community.
BROOKSVILLE — Today, the Laurie Pizzo for County Commission Campaign announced the endorsement of State Senator Wilton Simpson.
“Laurie Pizzo embodies our noble ideals of serving the community and building the future,” said Wilton Simpson. “She has been involved in just about every sphere of our local economy and civic life, making this corner of Florida a better place to live, work, and grow. She has my full support in her campaign for county commission, and I look forward to working with her to brighten the future for Hernando County.”
Laurie Pizzo, a proud resident of Hernando County since she arrived with her parents from Illinois more than 25 years ago, is a Realtor® and longtime community activist. She currently chairs the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. She also serves on the Government Affairs Committees of the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and the Hernando County Association of Realtors. A tireless advocate for the community, Pizzo continues to serve on the Oak Hill Hospital Advisory Council and on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity. She has also been a Board member of the American Cancer Society’s local chapter.
