Governor Rick Scott Appoints Three to Florida Gateway College District Board of Trustees

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments of Lindsey Lander and Dr. Miguel Tepedino and the reappointment of Robert “Chuck” Brannan to the Florida Gateway College District Board of Trustees.

Lander, 40, of Trenton, is a sole practitioner. He also currently serves as an adjunct instructor teaching American government in the dual enrollment program at Trenton High School. He received his bachelor’s and law degree from the University of Florida. He succeeds James Surrency and is appointed for a term beginning September 25, 2013, and ending May 31, 2014.

Tepedino, 34, of Lake City, is a medical doctor and owner of North Florida Family Medicine. Tepedino currently serves as the Medical Director for Florida Gateway College, as well as an adjunct associate clinical professor at the University Of Florida College Of Medicine. He received his bachelor’s degree and his doctorate of medicine from the University of Florida. He succeeds Donald Kennedy and is appointed for a term beginning September 25, 2013, and ending May 31, 2014.

Brannan, 51, of Macclenny, is a lieutenant for Baker County Sheriff’s Office. Brannan has served with the Baker County’s Sheriff’s Office since 1988. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He is reappointed for a term beginning September 25, 2013, and ending May 31, 2015.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
