Intermodal Transit Station Study Public Meeting

Study Area near Daytona Beach International Airport

 

Volusia County – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information meeting regarding plans to complete an Intermodal Transit Station Study for the geographic area near the Daytona Beach International Airport. The area under study is in general — bounded by Tomoka Farms Road (CR 415) on the west; Clyde Morris Boulevard (SR 483) on the east; International Speedway Boulevard (US 92) on the north; and Beville Road (SR 400) on the south.

This study evaluates potential locations for an intermodal transit station that would support the development of a system where various modes of transportation might be integrated economically, efficiently and safely to move people and goods.

The meeting is scheduled Thursday, November 14, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a presentation at 5:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at Daytona State College in Bergengren Hall (Building 110), located at 1200 W International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach. This meeting is the second of two public meetings planned to communicate with the public and gain ideas from the local community on how to best meet the needs of the traveling public.
