Latin Art Space Travel Programs are sanctioned by the US Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control, through the people-to-people cultural exchange travel license.  Our Cuba travel license allows us to organize guided group visits to art and cultural venues in Cuba.  We customize tours for diverse art and culture organizations -as well as individual travelers- that are interested in visiting Cuba and engaging in meaningful exchanges with Cuban artists, scholars, historians, architects, musicians, and community organizations.  We also work with art organizations in Cuba and the US in organizing and sponsoring collaborative projects, with a particular focus on Cuban printmaking and printmakers.

Cuba – Experience the Real Cuba in Style!

You’re invited to join the Santa Fe College team for a week long adventure in vibrant Cuba.

You and a small group will be accompanied by Hemingway expert, Raul Villarreal, visual artist and author of “Hemingway’s Cuban Son” and Astrid Marinez-Jones.  For those of you that have not met Raul on his visits to Gainesville, we promise he will make you feel like an honored guest as he shares his beloved Cuba with you. Your tour will also be guided by Astrid Martinez-Jones, Director/Founder of  Latin Art Space.  She was born in Cuba, lives in the United States, and travels often to Cuba. Her relationships and contacts with individuals in Cuba have allowed her to organize unique cultural programs that promote mutual understanding between participants and the Cuban people.

We will explore the seaside village Cojimar, visit Vinales in the Cuban countryside, experience Old Havana on a walking tour, and receive a private guided tour of Ernest Hemingway’s house La Finca Vigia.  And that’s just the beginning.
