Governor Rick Scott Appoints Four to Board of Architecture and Interior Design

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced two appointments and two reappointments to the Board of Architecture and Interior Design.

James Blanz, 56, of Fort Lauderdale, is the owner of Creative Designs in Carpet. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning December 18, 2013, and ending October 31, 2016.

Hector Fernandez, 44, of Marco Island, is a principal architect of Architects Unlimited. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning December 18, 2013, and ending October 31, 2017.

Aida Bao-Garciga, 57, of Miami, is the chief of construction and interior design at Miami Dade Aviation Department. She is reappointed for a term beginning December 18, 2013, and ending October 31, 2015.

James Johnson, 63, of Tallahassee, is the owner of J. Emory Johnson Interior Design Consultants Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning December 18, 2013, and ending October 31, 2017.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
