Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment Edward Fleming and the reappointment of Joseph York to the Jacksonville Port Authority.
Fleming, 58, of Jacksonville, is the retired president of Atlantic Marine LLC. He is a founding member of the Jacksonville Marine Transportation Exchange. Fleming received his bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning January 14, 2014, and ending September 30, 2015.
York, 45, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is the president of AT&T Florida, Puerto Rico & U.S. Virgin Islands. He has served on the board of directors for Associated Industries Florida and the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission. York received his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University. He is reappointment for a term beginning January 14, 2014, and ending September 30, 2017.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
