Senator Charlie Dean said, “As a life-long Floridian, I have enjoyed the recreation our springs provide, such as swimming in a cold spring on a warm summer day, as well as the sheer natural beauty of our springs.  Our goal is to protect these precious natural resources for our future generations so they can experience these springs just as I have.  The Governor’s recommendation is a great first step and I look forward to working with him to achieve this goal.”

Senator Alan Hays said, “Florida’s investment in springs restoration continues to grow under Governor Scott. I appreciate the leadership he has taken so future generations can enjoy our beautiful springs.”
