At 10 a.m. Friday, February 14, the Florida Department of Transportation and City of Boca Raton will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on the new I-95 interchange at Spanish River Boulevard in Boca Raton. The new interchange, which will relieve congestion at the Glades and Yamato Road interchanges, is part of a $67 million project that includes construction of 13 bridges between Spanish River Boulevard and Yamato Road, widening Spanish River Blvd west of FAU Boulevard, adding auxiliary lanes on Yamato Road, and constructing sound walls along Yamato Road and on the east side of I-95 north of Yamato Road.
