Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments of Brian Keith and Glenda “Marlene” Lagasse to the St. Johns River State College District Board of Trustees.
Keith, 58, of Palatka, is the owner of New Castle Shipyards LLC and a part time deputy with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. He is serving as the president of the Children’s Reading Center Charter School Board and a board member of Career Source. Keith attended St. Johns River Community College. He succeeds John Nelson and is appointed for a term beginning February 20, 2014, and ending May 31, 2017.
Lagasse, 52, of East Palatka, is a closer with Estate Title of St. Augustine. She currently serves as the president of Downtown Palatka Inc and a board member of Palatka Mainstreet. Lagasse has served as a member of the Putnam County Waterway Committee and the Southside Historic District. She fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning February 20, 2014, and ending May 31, 2015.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
