Governor Rick Scott Appoints Ten to State Apprenticeship Advisory Council

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced nine appointments and one reappointment to the State Apprenticeship Advisory Council.

Dr. Curtis “Todd” Bowden, 43, of Sarasota, is the executive director of the school district of Sarasota County. He succeeds John Spinella and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2014.

Ronald Cox, 57, of Land O’ Lakes, is the president of Cox Fire Protection Inc. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2017.

Eric Kennedy, 71, of Margate, is the president of EDK Management Consultants Inc. He succeeds John Small and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2015.

Jeff McGinley, 55, of West Palm Beach, is the president and administrator of Florida Training Services Inc. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2015.

Timothy Hinson, 51, of Middleburg, is the corporate training director for Miller Electric Company. He succeeds Jerry Thomas and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2017.

Patrick McLaughlin, 61, of Boca Raton, is the president of McLaughlin Management Associates Inc and the executive director of the Florida Masonry Apprenticeship and Educational Foundation Inc. He succeeds Clarence Campbell and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2016.

Reina Mora-Blackwelder, 58, of Largo, is the executive director of Independent Electrical Contractors. She succeeds A. James Pruitt and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2014

Christine Rodriguez, 36, of Fort Myers, is the executive director of Tri County Apprenticeship. She succeeds William Nolan and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2016.

Boyd Worsham, 52, of Middleburg, is the vice president of construction support for The Haskell Company. He succeeds R. Al Herndon and is appointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2016.

Ruth Tirado, 45, of Leesburg, is the vice president of education and training for Associated Builders and Contractors. She is reappointed for a term beginning March 26, 2014, and ending September 30, 2016.
