Foundation for Florida’s Future Remarks on Bill to Protect Student Information
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, SB 188 on Education Data Privacy was taken up and passed from the Florida House. Foundation for Florida’s Future (aFloridaPromise) Executive Director Patricia Levesque made the following remarks on what this legislation means to education in Florida:

“Technology has changed over the years, and it’s important to take a fresh look at how we’re protecting student data. Advancements in technology and connectivity bring new opportunities for student learning, but they also create a much different world than we knew even just a decade ago. I’m glad to see Florida lawmakers working to make these changes to ensure we’re protecting our children’s information.”
