Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Tanya Davis Wilson to the Orange County Court.
Wilson, 45, of Ocoee, has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney since 2004, and from 2001-2003, she served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender. Wilson began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit in 1997. Since 2012, Wilson has served as an officer of For The Kidz, Inc., a charitable organization connecting children and teens in poverty to educational, health, and social resources. Wilson received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida. She fills a vacancy created by the appointment of Judge Greg A. Tynan to the Circuit Court.
Governor Rick Scott said, “Tanya Wilson has spent her career protecting the families of Central Florida. Her broad experience and knowledge of the law will translate well to the Orange County bench as she continues to serve Florida families with distinction.”
