Governor Rick Scott Appoints Elijah “Ed” Armstrong III
to Southwest Florida Water Management District
Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Elijah “Ed” Armstrong III to the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
Armstrong, 57, of Dunedin, is an attorney with Hill Ward Henderson. He currently serves on the board of trustees of the BayCare Healthcare System and the Tampa Preparatory School. He previously served as chair of the Greater Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Pasco Hernando Community College Board of Trustees. Armstrong received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and his law degree from Vanderbilt University. He succeeds Todd Pressman is appointed for a term beginning June 20, 2014, and ending March 1, 2018.
The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
