Governor Rick Scott Appoints Jill Compton
to the School Board of Highlands County
Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Jill Compton as a school board member of Highlands County.
Compton, 38, of Sebring, has been an educator with the School Board of Highlands County since 1998. Compton received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and her Master’s of Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida as well as a Master’s of Communication Science and Disorders from Northern Arizona University. She is appointed to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Andy Tuck for a term beginning June 27, 2014, and ending November 11, 2014.
