Governor Scott Appoints Judge James Sloan to the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Hendry County Judge James Sloan to the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court.*
Judge Sloan, 57, of LaBelle, currently serves as the Hendry County Court Judge and has been in that office since 1992. Previously, he practiced in LaBelle with Elver & Sloan from 1983-1992, and earlier with Massey, Alper & Walden from 1981-1983. Judge Sloan received his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University and his law degree from Stetson College of Law. He fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Sherra Winesett.
Governor Rick Scott said, “Judge Sloan has proven his commitment to the citizens of Florida during his years of honorable service on the Hendry County Court bench. I am confident that he will continue to serve Floridians with dedication and integrity on the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court.”
