Volusia County – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information open house regarding the roadway resurfacing project along State Road (SR) 441 (South Peninsula Drive), from south of Silver Beach Avenue to SR 600 (US 92), in the City of Daytona Beach. The project is funded for construction in June 2015. The project includes milling and resurfacing, the addition of bike lanes, curb ramps, and signalization upgrades. The existing eastbound right turn lane at the intersection of SR 441 at Silver Beach Avenue will be removed and the sidewalk widened on the southwest corner of the intersection.
The open house is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2014, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the El Caribe Resort & Conference Center located at 2125 S. Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach. The meeting will be an open-house, with display boards and an automated presentation shown from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. FDOT staff and the consulting team will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
