US 27 from Barry Road to US 192 (Davenport/Clermont) Construction project: US 27 from Ritchie Road to south of Barry Road:Construction project: Temporary intermittent lane closures are in effect during the daytime and nighttime on northbound and southbound US 27 starting today, July 16 through Saturday morning, July 19, while crews pave US 27, pending weather. Daytime closures will have a minimum of two lanes open northbound and southbound. Nighttime closures will have a minimum of one lane open northbound and southbound. Watch for uneven pavement and traffic shifts and be cautious of workers in the work zone. Work on this project includes expanding US 27 from four lanes to six lanes, resurfacing the existing roadway, adding paved bike lanes, building curb and gutter with drainage swales, constructing sidewalk, upgrading existing traffic signals at Waverly Barn Road/Dunson Road and Deen Still Road/Ronald Reagan Parkway, installing new highway lighting at Deen Still Road/Ronald Reagan Parkway, and installing sound barrier walls. Southland Construction is the contractor on this project. Expected completion is fall of 2014.
