FAMU Announces Summer Commencement Attendance Guidelines

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In preparation of Florida A&M University’s (FAMU) summer 2014 commencement ceremony, scheduled Aug. 1 at 6 p.m., the university has announced its guidelines for admission to the Alfred L. Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium, where the ceremony will be held.

No foghorns, balloons, strollers, large signs, banners or weapons of any sort are permissible. Attendees who possess these items will not be permitted to enter the facility.

Attendees are also asked not to enter the arena floor, stage or graduate seating areas during the ceremony.

Approved media with appropriate ID may request permission to access the arena floor for video or photographs.

Free parking is available at Bragg Memorial Stadium on Wahnish Way. However, parking in spaces marked reserved or identified for the disabled is not permitted.
