TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that James Walker Jr., 55, of Cape Coral, claimed a $500,000 prize in the GOLD RUSH TRIPLER Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. Walker purchased his winning ticket from the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office, located at 11760 Metro Parkway in Fort Myers.
“My daughter goes to college next year, so I plan to use a portion of the winnings to pay for her tuition,” said Walker.
The $20 Scratch-Off game, GOLD RUSH TRIPLER, is the latest installment of the player favorite, GOLD RUSH Scratch-Off games. GOLD RUSH TRIPLER offers better odds of winning $30 to $500, compared to previous GOLD RUSH games, and the best odds ever to win $500,000. Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 64 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $640 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2013-14.
