Public Information Meeting for SR 50/Broad Street Improvements
Lake County — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information meeting regarding plans for the resurfacing of the subject segment of State Road (SR) 50/Broad Street. The meeting will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the E.L. Puryear building at Lake David Park located at 243 South Lake Avenue, Groveland, FL 34736.
The purpose of the meeting is to allow the public to express their views concerning the project, which consists of milling, resurfacing, bicycle lane designation throughout including widening the existing right turn lanes for bicycle keyhole slots, ADA upgrades, drainage improvements and median opening and left turn lane modifications. Further, our intent is to inform those concerned that this project is not part of the future SR 50 realignment project, from CR 565 (Villa City Road to CR 565A (Montevista). Access to all businesses adjacent to the improvements will be maintained throughout construction. Final design will be completed in winter 2014. The project is funded for construction to take place in 2015.
