RPOF Announces Addition of Key Staff for African American Engagement in Florida
Tallahassee, FL - The Republican Party of Florida, in coordination with the Republican National Committee, is pleased to announce that Latanya Peterson will serve as Director of the GOP’s African American engagement efforts in Florida.
“We are excited to welcome Latanya to our Florida team. Her involvement and experience in Florida’s African American community will be an asset not only to Governor Scott, but to our entire Republican team. We look forward to working side by side with Latanya as she works to spread Governor Scott’s message of job creation and improved education to African American communities across the state,” said RPOF Chairman Leslie Dougher.

Latanya brings her experience as a successful community leader to our Party, and she will work to build strong, lasting relationships with every voter in every community.”
Latanya Peterson is a native Floridian who has lived in Jacksonville for the past nine years and has been a public school educator for the past 11 years. Latanya is involved in many organizations, both in the Jacksonville area and statewide, and currently serves as First Vice President of the Duval Teacher’s Union, the President of the Duval County Minority Republican Club, and the Director of Outreach for the Florida Assembly of Black Republicans. She is also a member of the Duval Republican Executive Committee, the Young Republican Federation of Jacksonville, and the Florida Federation of Republican Women.
