JACKSONVILLE, FL – Last night, State Representative Charles Van Zant (HD 19) endorsed Jay Fant’s bid to become the Republican nominee for District 15. This is the second endorsement from a key state representative with ties to Duval County’s Westside in less than a week and signals growing momentum for the Fant Campaign.
“Charles Van Zant was born on the Westside, he is a stalwart defender of life and our Constitution, and it is an honor to have his support,” said candidate Jay Fant. “The voters of District 15 will have the ultimate say in who is their next State Representative, but I am pleased that both Representative Janet Adkins and Representative Charles Van Zant have recognized our commitment to conservative principles and are willing to lend their support for our final effort.”
Charles Van Zant was elected to the State House in 2008. He serves on the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and Chairs the Joint Select Committee on Collective Bargaining. He is an outspoken and highly acclaimed conservative leader and has been given the Christian Coalition’s Faith and Family Award and the Family Policy Council’s Defender of Marriage Award.
