PANAMA CITY, FL – Steve Southerland’s campaign denounced Gwen Graham’s efforts to publicly distance herself from Obamacare while, at the same time, collecting $128,750 in campaign contributions from politicians who voted for the law. According to Federal Election Commission reports, Graham has courted big dollar contributions from 31 House members and 10 senators who voted for the government takeover of healthcare.
“You can tell a lot about a person from the company they keep,” said Southerland campaign manager Luke Strickland. “It’s no coincidence that Gwen Graham has racked up nearly $130,000 in campaign contributions from Washington politicians who voted for Obamacare. They know Ms. Graham would go to Congress and be a loyal foot soldier, standing shoulder to shoulder with them to preserve their signature law. If we think Obamacare’s premium increases are tough on our wallets now, then we certainly can’t afford having Gwen Graham in Congress making the problem worse.”
