Speaker Marco Rubio not only backed off his opposition of Arizona’s immigration law, but flip-flopped completely on the issue in an interview with the right-wing Human Events magazine published today, saying he would have voted for a version of the law changed only slightly.

“Today, Floridians see the real Marco Rubio, an extremist trying to impose his ridged philosophy on the Sunshine State. After getting ‘himself into hot water with conservatives’ and now that Ann Coulter blasted Rubio on Fox News for opposing something that many deemed anti-Hispanic, Speaker Rubio returned to his Tea Party roots by flip-flopping on the Arizona law. While the law that sparked national outrage was tweaked only slightly since last week, Rubio’s stance has changed completely.
