Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate: Big News This Week

July 24, 2010 Politics Comments Off

We have lots of good news this week.  Marco received two big endorsements from the National Federation of Independent Business and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce! This week’s announcements continue to prove that Marco is the only candidate in this race who is willing to stand up to Washington’s reckless, job-destroying agenda by fighting for small businesses and tackling the out-of-control government spending.

Here’s what they’re saying about Marco’s steady pro-jobs leadership and agenda:

“We will endorse Marco Rubio because he has a record of standing up for the people of Florida during challenging economic times. He is an invaluable leader who has a common sense approach to job creation and getting America back on the road to recovery. On issues ranging from competition in the health care industry, to lowering taxes, to reducing energy costs, Florida’s businesses and workers will have a tireless advocate in Marco Rubio,” - Bill Miller, the U.S. Chamber’s senior vice president and political director. … Continue Reading

Jeff Greene for U.S. Senate: Kendrick Meek: Putting Special Interests Ahead Of Seniors–The Result: Higher Medicare Costs For All

July 7, 2010 Politics Comments Off

Meek received over $20,000 from medical suppliers, then introduced a bill to end competitive bidding in Medicare.

West Palm Beach, FL – Today, the Jeff Greene campaign uncovered disturbing facts about Kendrick Meek’s attempt to block reductions in Medicare costs while receiving more than $40,000 from Medicare suppliers. The supplier industry has praised Meek for his legislation, saying he understands “the plight of the industry.”

Kendrick Meek for U.S. Senate: Central casting

June 28, 2010 Politics Comments Off

Is this a Senate race or a summer blockbuster? You couldn’t make up better characters than this.

Crist, Greene, Rubio — it’s like they’ve come straight out of central casting. The “Shape-Shifter,” the “Meltdown Mogul” and of course … “The Prince of Palin.” Forgive me if I can’t take these guys seriously as the next senator from Florida.

We all know that Kendrick Meek is the man for the job (and, by the way, the only candidate who has not run as a Republican), but first he has to win a primary and then a three-way general election. He can do it, but he’s going to need our help. … Continue Reading
