Kendrick Meek For U.S. Senate: Brother-in-arms
If I have a brother-in-arms, a brother in the causes that matter to us, a brother who represents more closely the values and reasons I ran for office in the first place, it’s Kendrick Meek.
There’s no one else I would rather have by my side working on critical issues like health care, education, and our struggling economy. He’s a true leader who’s already accomplished so much, and has so much more yet to do.
You and I know that Kendrick is the right choice to become our next U.S. Senator, but now is the time when we have to give our all to make it happen.
Why now? Because with just five weeks until Election Day, we have so many calls left to make, doors left to knock on, and ads left to air. I’m asking you to act now because I don’t want you to wake up on November 3 feeling as if you could have done more for the candidate we need to win.
During the debate last week, Kendrick said that Charlie Crist is “trying to pick the raisins out of the bread”–not telling the whole truth about what he believes but just what he thinks will get him the votes.
Of course, that’s something a lot of politicians do, but not Kendrick. I’ve never seen him go against his convictions for the sake of expediency. I know he’ll be a consistent, powerful voice in Washington for those who’ve gone unheard for so long.
I wish I could say there are many lawmakers in Congress just like Kendrick, but there aren’t. Kendrick is unique in his dedication and commitment to the people he serves, and that’s why we need him now more than ever to change a system that isn’t doing enough to help ordinary Americans.
So please, stand with Kendrick and me now, arm in arm, and let’s take a step toward making our government more responsive to the people and not special interests and corporations. Make your donation today and together we can make a real difference in this race.
Click here to make a donation to Kendrick’s campaign. Help him raise $11,586 more before tomorrow’s midnight deadline so he has the funds he needs to compete. Please don’t wait.
This task won’t be easy–nothing in politics ever is. But I know that if all of Kendrick’s grassroots supporters chip in, he will emerge the winner on November 2. Best of all, we’ll wake up November 3 with no regrets–just grateful to have such a fine public servant as our new junior senator.
Sincerely,
Debbie Wasserman Schultz
