Gov. Scott Recognizes Erin Winick with the Young Entrepreneur Award

Posted on May 23, 2017

During a meeting of the Florida Cabinet today, Governor Rick Scott recognized Erin Winick, 23, with the Young Entrepreneur Award. Erin is the founder and CEO of Sci Chic, a company that designs and produces 3D printed jewelry and accessories inspired by science and engineering. Sci Chic was founded in October of 2015 and is based in Gainesville.
Governor Scott said, “I’m proud to present Erin with the Young Entrepreneur Award today. It’s great to see Florida entrepreneurs follow their dreams of starting a business while inspiring others to get involved with STEM. It takes dedication and hard work to start a business and I look forward to seeing Sci Chic’s success in Florida.”
Erin Winick, founder and CEO of Sci Chic, said, “It’s an honor to be recognized with the Governor’s Young Entrepreneur Award. Sci Chic is focused on using science and engineering to produce fashionable jewelry. We work hard to develop STEM inspired fashion and inspire young girls to get involved with science and engineering. I’m grateful for the success we have seen, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
