Jay Fant Statement on Failure of Senate Healthcare Bill

Posted on July 18, 2017

Representative Jay Fant made the following statement this morning regarding the failure of the U.S. Senate to move forward on healthcare reform:
“With the Senate’s failure to repeal Obamacare, our leaders in Washington have failed us once again. It is past time for our elected representatives to carry out the promises they made when they were elected. Obamacare is clearly a disaster, causing costs to skyrocket and quality of care to diminish. Floridians are hurting and deserve better than petty politics. I hope the Senate will move past this setback and fully repeal President Obama’s healthcare policy like they promised.”
