Donalds Named Vice Chair of Key Education Subcommittee

Posted on August 23, 2017

House Speaker Richard Corcoran has appointed Representative Byron
Donalds the new Vice Chair of the PreK-12 Appropriations Subcommittee

Last week, House Speaker Richard Corcoran named Representative Byron Donalds the new Vice Chair of the PreK-12 Appropriations Subcommittee. The new position gives Donalds the opportunity to be a leading voice for Florida students in the legislature.
“It is absolutely vital that we craft education policy that provides every student in Florida with the opportunity to receive an excellent education,” said Donalds. “That includes making sure state education resources are allocated wisely and boldly. I’m honored to take on this new role, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to help every young Floridian realize his or her God-given potential.”
Donalds is serving his first term in the Florida House. His other committee assignments are:
Education Committee
Ways and Means Committee
Agriculture and Property Rights Subcommittee
Health Quality Subcommittee
PreK-12 Quality Subcommittee
