The Port St. Lucie Councilman says Overdorf is the right leader for House District 83
The Toby Overdorf Campaign today announced the endorsement of Port St. Lucie Councilman John Carvelli. Overdorf, a Republican, is running for the District 83 seat in the Florida House of Representatives, currently held by Gayle Harrell, who faces term limits this year.
“Toby Overdorf is the right leader for this district,” said Carvelli. “His experience as a business owner and community leader is the right mix for the person we need representing us in District 83. His conservative values will serve us well, and I look forward to working with him.”
Carvelli represents District 2 on the Port St. Lucie City Council. He has an extensive professional background in the field of education, including work as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator. From 1994 to 2010, he served on the St Lucie School Board, including three times as Chairman.
“I’m honored to have John Carvelli’s support,” said Overdorf. “His public service in Port St. Lucie has been exemplary, and I look forward to working with him and other community leaders to continue making this the best place to live and work in Florida.”
Overdorf is a longtime Treasure Coast resident and business owner, running on a platform of pro-growth economic policies that promote job creation, greater economic prosperity, and the completion of necessary environmental restoration projects.
