Near Edgewater Drive
Drivers this week will encounter a lane closure on eastbound Lee Road. This is occurring at Edison Avenue, just to the west of Edgewater Drive. The closure affects the right lane/outside lane. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is working to fix a drainage pipe and a storm water inlet that are experiencing some settling.
The lane closure will be clearly marked, giving drivers ample time and space to move over. More extensive work is planned, which will require the closure of an additional lane in the future. FDOT is working on a fast response contract to get the repair work underway.
Drivers are urged to stay alert and to use caution in the area.
