Leading in actual funds raised from donors in this race
In May, Matt Caldwell’s campaign and Political Committee raised a combined $200,620. After tallying another strong month of fundraising, the campaign and Political Committee has raised nearly $2.2 million – leading in actual funds raised from supporters across the state. This follows the announcement of the campaign’s statewide finance committee.
Representative Caldwell said, ” I am grateful for the statewide support in our bid for Commissioner of Agriculture. Some typical politicians in this race are apparently willing to waste Floridians hard earned tax dollars to bankroll their campaigns – but I have made it clear that I will not take taxpayer money to fund my campaign. And while “self-funders” may try to buy a seat and avoid the hard work of a campaign trail, we are running the only true, statewide campaign for Commissioner. We will raise the funds needed for this campaign from Floridians that believe in my track record and conservative message.”
Caldwell’s campaign for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture raised $53,120 in May, while his political committee, Friends of Matt Caldwell, brought in $147,500. After tallying another strong month of fundraising, the campaign and political committee have a combined $1.26 million cash-on-hand.
Since launching his bid for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture in May 2017, Representative Caldwell has traveled nearly 70,000 miles across the Sunshine State talking to voters, sharing his conservative message and building support for his grassroots campaign. Caldwell continues to outwork his opponents and unite Floridians across the state, capturing 5 straw poll wins across the State.
The campaign has also announced the endorsements of Republican House & Senate members from every delegation in the State. This is in addition to endorsements from the Florida Police Benevolent Association (PBA), Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida, U.S. Congressmen Matt Gaetz & Francis Rooney, former candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture Paul Paulson, and county, city, and local officeholders across the state.
The campaign launched the #2LaneTravels webpage to highlight the campaign travels across the Sunshine State in his bid for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture.
