Insurance Experts on the Ground for Franklin County Residents Impacted by Fire
CFO and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis yesterday directed his Division of Consumer Services to send insurance experts to Franklin County to assist residents with navigating the insurance claims process. Insurance experts will be on the ground today, June 26, and Wednesday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
CFO and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis said, “Too many residents have lost everything, including one of their largest investments: their home. With more than 30 homes destroyed, lives have been irrevocably changed. The insurance claims process can be complicated and time consuming, so my office is here to help residents during this difficult time.
“This morning, I also received an update from Citizens Property Insurance Corporation on how many policyholders may have been impacted. So far, 19 policyholders may have been impacted and Citizens is proactively reaching out to them to provide assistance.”
Citizens, Universal Property & Casualty, and United Property & Casualty will also participate to assist area residents.
