Furst becomes the latest in a string of current and former elected officials
to throw their support behind Tommy Gregory’s bid for House District 73.
The Tommy Gregory Campaign today announced the endorsement of Bill Furst, Sarasota County Property Appraiser. Gregory is running for the District 73 seat in the Florida House of Representatives, currently held by Joe Gruters, who is running for the Florida Senate.
“I’m proud to endorse Tommy Gregory,” said Furst. “There is no question in my mind that he has what it takes to serve us very well in Tallahassee. His leadership background and conservative principles make him very well qualified, and I look forward to working with him.”
Furst was elected in 2008 and reelected twice since then. His tenure in office and his distinguished 40-year career in the real estate industry have been characterized by integrity, transparency, and fairness. He has served as past President of the Sarasota Association of Realtors and has been a member of the National Association of Realtors Board of Directors since 1998.
“It’s an honor to have Bill Furst’s support,” said Gregory. “He sets a high standard for leadership and service in our community, and I look forward to working with him to serve our fellow citizens.”
Furst joins Sarasota County Commissioners Paul Caragiolo, Charles Hines, Alan Maio, and Michael Moran and Manatee County Commissioner Robin DiSabatino in endorsing Gregory. Other recent endorsements include former U.S. Senator Connie Mack; Sarasota Sheriff Tom Knight; former Manatee Sheriff Brad Steube; State Representative Danny Burgess; and former State Senator Lisa Carlton.
