Throughout July, Americans can show their patriotism in every Walmart store with a purchase of Dr. Scholl’s insoles. For every pair of Dr. Scholl’s insoles of $10 or more sold in Walmart stores during the month of July, Bayer HealthCare will donate $1 to Support Our Troops, Inc., a nationwide 501(c)(3) organization that meets the critical needs of America’s deployed troops worldwide.
“Widespread civilian support is critical to mission success and the morale and well-being of America’s troops and their families,” said Martin C. Boire, President of Support Our Troops. “On their behalf I want to thank Dr. Scholl’s for stepping up with a great way for Americans to show their support and deliver tangible support to their soldiers.”
The funds raised by Bayer HealthCare will help Support Our Troops keep soldiers connected to their family, home and country by satellite from remote desert and island locations, move cargo containers downrange to sustain soldier morale and mission effectiveness, provide food assistance to overseas military children and spouses, and provide stability and continuity for overseas military youth.
“Hello, I am sitting in Afghanistan and thank you for internet,” Specialist Gurham, Afghanistan.
“I would like to show my utmost gratitude to you and your organization for the amazing effort to support our service members at home and abroad. Your name ‘Support Our Troops’, speaks for itself. As I am a deployed wife myself, it means so much to families as well to know their community cares,” Staff Sergeant Jane, Iraq.
Bayer HealthCare has set a goal amount of $3 million for the soldiers from the sale of 3 million insoles in 2018. In 2017, Bayer donated more than half a million insoles to soldiers through a similar effort with Support Our Troops.
