Multiple Traffic Pacing Operations on Eastbound S.R. 408 Scheduled for July 10

Posted on July 9, 2018

Multiple traffic pacing operations are scheduled to occur on eastbound State Road (S.R.) 408 between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10.
The eastbound S.R. 408 operations will begin at Good Homes Road and conclude at Interstate 4 (I-4).

During the operations, affected S.R. 408 entrance ramps will be temporarily blocked. As the traffic pacing operations pass each interchange, law enforcement officers will reopen the entrance ramp. Each traffic pacing operation on S.R. 408 will create a 30-minute window for crews to continue placing girders for the new flyover ramp from eastbound I-4 to westbound S.R. 408.

In total, seven eastbound S.R. 408 entrance ramps will be temporarily closed during these operations. View or download an online map of the temporary S.R. 408 on-ramp closures at: https://fdot.tips/eb408.

In conjunction with the traffic pacing operations, the eastbound and westbound S.R. 408 entrance ramps from Interstate 4 (I-4) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on July 9-10. The eastbound S.R. 408 exit ramp to eastbound I-4 will also be closed during this same time frame. View or download an online map of the nighttime S.R. 408 ramp closures from I-4 at: https://fdot.tips/eb408.

Motorists may experience additional lanes closed on S.R. 408 during the traffic pacing operation.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
