in the East Side Regional Hob Nob House District 49 Straw Poll.
The Ben Griffin Campaign today announced his victory last night in the straw poll held at the East Side Regional Hob Nob. Griffin beat incumbent Carlos Guillermo Smith by a vote of 89 to 78. The East Side Regional Hob Nob, sponsored by the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce, featured over 40 candidates from Seminole and Orange Counties.
“We’re excited about this victory, and see it as a sign that voters are ready for better representation in Tallahassee,” said Griffin. “Our conservative message is resonating, and I really appreciate everyone who supported us at the Hob Nob last night. I look forward to continuing to work hard to connect with as many District 49 voters as possible.”
Griffin, a Republican and first-time candidate, is running on a platform of limited government, stronger education, and Christian values.
