Cortes Wins Overwhelming Straw Poll Victory

Posted on July 10, 2018

State Representative Bob Cortes takes over 73 percent in the
East Side Regional Hob Nob House District 30 Straw Poll.

The Bob Cortes Campaign announced today his overwhelming victory last night in the straw poll held at the East Side Regional Hob Nob. Cortes, who has held the House District 30 seat since his election in 2014, garnered 73.05 percent of the vote while the rest of the vote was split among his three challengers. The East Side Regional Hob Nob, sponsored by the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce, featured over 40 candidates from Seminole and Orange Counties.

“I really appreciate everyone who came out to support us last night,” said Cortes. “It’s been a privilege to work hard for the people of District 30 over the last four years, and I think people recognize that. I plan to keep working hard, in this campaign and back in Tallahassee, to serve the hardworking men and women of this district.”

Joy Goff-Mancil took 12.5 percent of the straw poll vote, Clark Anderson earned 9.7 percent, and Brandon Ramirez took 4.55 percent.
