Blacklidge endorsed by Associated Industries PAC

Posted on July 13, 2018

Combined with his strong fundraising, straw poll victory and other endorsements, this
endorsement amplifies Ray Blacklidge’s momentum in the race for House District 69.

The Associated Industries of Florida Political Action Committee (AIFPAC) today announced its endorsement for Ray Blacklidge, running for the House of Representatives District 69 for the 2018 Election Cycle.

“Each election cycle our AIFPAC spends numerous hours hearing from and reviewing potential candidates for the Florida Senate and House, and each election cycle AIFPAC takes pride in endorsing candidates we believe will serve our Sunshine State’s business community with the best forward-thinking, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit,” said AIF President and CEO Tom Feeney. “We believe this group of candidates has the unique opportunity in 2019 to continue to make Florida the best place in the nation to do business.” continued Feeney.

“I am honored to receive this endorsement from Associated Industries of Florida PAC, whose members hail from every corner of the state and represent every segment of Florida’s private sector.” Said Blacklidge. “I’m grateful for the support we’re receiving, and I’m going to continue working hard to get our message out and earn the trust of House District 69 voters and businesses.”

Blacklidge’s endorsement by the AIFPAC follows endorsements by State Representative Jim Boyd, former State Representative Jim Frishe, Pinellas Park Councilman Rick Butler, Seminole Mayor Leslie Waters, and South Pasadena Mayor Max Elson. It also follows Blacklidge’s victory in the Pinellas County Republican Straw Poll.

Known as “The Voice of Florida Business” in the Sunshine State, Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) has represented the principles of prosperity and free enterprise before the three branches of state government since 1920. A voluntary association of diversified businesses, AIF was created to foster an economic climate in Florida conducive to the growth, development, and welfare of industry and business and the people of the state.

“As we look toward Election Day, we encourage our fellow Floridians to support Ray Blacklidge who is committed to making our business environment flourish here in Florida for generations to come,” concluded Feeney.

AIFPAC was formed to assist in the election of business-friendly candidates to the Florida Legislature. Further, for more than 40 years, AIFPAC has provided an opportunity for Florida’s employers to combine their resources with others in the business community to help shape the political debate in our state.  For more information on AIFPAC’s endorsements or AIF, please visit AIF.com and follow @VoiceofFLBiz.
