Caldwell to Facebook: Don’t Bans Gun Ads, Ban Abortion Ads

Caldwell joins Fox and Friends to lambaste conservative censorship

Representative Matt Caldwell, candidate for Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture, appeared on Fox & Friends to criticize Facebook for censoring his pro-Trump, pro-gun, pro-Second Amendment ad and call on them to change their liberal policies.

Representative Matt Caldwell, the principled conservative in the race, affirmed, “Facebook’s censorship regime takes advantage of their liberal policies to repress conservative ideals and our pro-liberty message, which includes our pro-Second Amendment endorsement from the NRA. This type of liberal bias and censorship is one of the many reasons why President Trump was elected!”

He continued, “As the conservative candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture, I have the platform to call attention to these abuses by Facebook’s hyper-partisan staff. Private citizens – conservative individuals, groups, and job creators – don’t have that opportunity and are impacted by Facebook’s institutional liberalism.”

On Fox and Friends, Caldwell also highlighted other conservatives in Florida that have been directly targeted by hyper-partisan staff taking advantage of liberal policies at the ‘Social Media Censorship Regime’ made up of Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Just recently, Representative Fine had a Facebook ad that was flagged as “discriminatory” because it was Republican. And Hank Strange, a conservative, African-American, Pro-Second Amendment advocate has had his YouTube channel shut down multiple times over the past year.

Caldwell ultimately challenged, “The social networking platform cannot get away with waging a war against conservative ideals. Facebook must address their liberal policies, which outline strict rules against ads that promote the sale of guns and ammunition. Facebook needs to change this policy or create similar rules for organizations that promote and encourage the termination of an unborn child’s life. I challenge the rest of the social networking institutions to do the same and stop silencing half of the country.”

Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture holds one of the highest elected offices in Florida, serves as the guardian of Florida’s concealed-weapon license system, and safeguards the Second Amendment. As a candidate for Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture, Caldwell has a growing list of conservative leaders and organizations endorsing him, which includes Senator Marco Rubio, Congressman Matt Gaetz, and the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF).
