Small Business Backs Diaz

Posted on August 2, 2018

NFIB Florida PAC says Manny Diaz’s proven track record of supporting
small business makes him the best choice for Senate District 36.

The Manny Diaz Campaign today announced the endorsement of NFIB Florida PAC, which is made up of members of the National Federation of Independent Business in the Sunshine State. Diaz is seeking the District 36 seat in the Florida Senate. Since 2012, he has represented District 103 in the Florida House of Representatives.

“NFIB is proud to endorse candidates whose priorities align with those of the small business community,” said Bill Herrle, NFIB’s executive director in Florida. “The candidates receiving NFIB’s endorsement have a proven track record of supporting small-business issues, and have committed to working with NFIB to help Florida maintain its pro-small-business climate.”

NFIB is Florida’s largest small business association. With over 10,000 small businesses in Florida, the endorsement brings substantial grassroots support along with it. Its support is based on Diaz’s pro-business record and is very important because small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting others to also go to the polls.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our communities,” said Diaz. “I’m honored to have NFIB Florida PAC behind me, and I look forward to continuing to work with them to maintain a business-friendly economic climate that produces new jobs and strengthens our quality of life in Florida.”

In addition to NFIB Florida PAC, Diaz has received numerous endorsements, including from the Florida Chamber of Commerce; Associated Industries of Florida PAC; the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police; the Miami-Dade Police Benevolent Association; and Florida Right to Life PAC. He has also been endorsed by the following elected officials: Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban “Steve” Bovo; Mayor Fred Spencer Deno IV of Virginia Gardens; Mayor Francis Suarez of the City of Miami; Mayor Carlos Hernandez of Hialeah; Mayor JC Bermudez of Doral; Mayor Yioset De La Cruz of Hialeah Gardens; Mayor Manny Cid of Miami Lakes; Mayor Roberto Martell of Medley; Mayor Billy Bain of Miami Springs; and Hialeah City Council President Vivan Casals Muñoz.
