The Florida Lottery joins with the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), The North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL), the World Lottery Association (WLA) and other industry leaders to celebrate the 21st Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week, August 6-10, 2018.
The purpose of this week is to increase awareness about problem gambling and promote responsible gaming. Florida Lottery Secretary Jim Poppell said, “Being a socially responsible organization is a commitment we take seriously. We understand this involves having a responsible gaming program comprised of initiatives aimed at training employees, educating players, marketing responsibly, and collaborating with our stakeholders.”
The Florida Lottery is committed to building responsible gaming best practices into all its operations and is currently seeking the highest level of responsible gaming certification from NASPL and NCPG. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, the Florida Lottery encourages you to contact the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling at 1-888-ADMIT-IT, or the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-522-4700 for confidential help.
