Republican Nick DiCeglie Wins Primary Election for State House

Posted on August 28, 2018

Local Businessman and Pinellas County Republican Party Chairman Nick DiCeglie has won the Republican Primary for the Florida House of Representative’s 66th District. DiCeglie will face Democrat Alex Heeren in the November General Election.

“I’m deeply honored and humbled by the trust fellow conservative voters have placed in me to be their voice in the State House,” said DiCeglie. “We celebrate tonight but look forward to building on our accomplishments – bringing our message of commonsense conservative solutions to voters to earn their vote in the November General Election. I can’t thank my family, friends, supporters and volunteers enough for their dedication to this campaign. We couldn’t have done this without their hard work.”

Nick moved to Florida in 1996 and currently lives in Indian Rocks Beach with his wife Erica, an accomplished musician and composer, and their two children, Livia and Carlo. Nick has owned Solar Sanitation Inc. since 2001 and is proud to have grown up in the waste management industry, having learned all aspects of the family business from both his mother and father. He continues to hone those skills by studying various aspects of business, especially management and leadership styles.

In addition to being a successful business owner and a committed family man, Nick is actively involved in the Pinellas County community. He served two terms as Chairman of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, served as a Governor Appointee on the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, and as a member of the Indian Rocks Beach Planning and Zoning Board for six years. His current leadership roles include serving as Chairman of the Pinellas County Republican Party, as well as a member of the Pinellas County Economic Development Council.

In 2011, Nick was recognized as an Up & Comer by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and, in 2011, Solar Sanitation was recognized by the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce as the Medium Business of the Year.
