“Ron DeSantis has made an outstanding choice for his running mate in Rep. Jeanette Nunez, and I congratulate her. She brings outstanding experience and a strong work ethic to the GOP ticket that will serve the State of Florida very well.
“Over the past several weeks, many from around the state and in Puerto Rico have called to offer their support and encouragement as various news outlets have reported that I was on the short list for Lt. Governor. It was an honor to be considered, but I am very pleased and supportive of the choice of Rep. Nuñez, and I will now be able to continue serving the community I love as a state representative and a voice for House District 30.
“There is no doubt that Ron DeSantis will be an outstanding Governor, and I plan to do all I can to make sure he and Rep. Nuñez are elected. They are best prepared to continue Rick Scott’s record of economic leadership moving us to new heights of prosperity with more jobs and world-class schools.
