Motorists are advised of weekend detours at the intersection of Plymouth Avenue and U.S. 17/92 (Woodland Boulevard) in DeLand beginning around 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, through 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, weather permitting.

During the work, Plymouth Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Stone Street and Amelia Avenue. Access to local driveways and businesses will be maintained. Work also will occur on Woodland Boulevard, with traffic shifted to allow one lane of travel in each direction.

The posted detour for Plymouth Avenue traffic will be Amelia Avenue, U.S. 92 and Stone Street. Similar detours are expected the weekends of Oct. 12-15 and Oct. 26-29, weather permitting.

This work is part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to repair and replace sections of concrete roadway. Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to alert motorists to lane closures and detours. Updates will be available on the FDOT’s Central Florida website, CFLRoads.com.

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT’s Communications Office at 386-943-5479 or [email protected].
