Following Hurricane Michael’s devastation to the Florida panhandle, Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis will deploy an emergency insurance village in Panama City to assist residents with the insurance claims process.As of today, October 15, CFO Patronis’ Division of Consumer Services will be joined by FEMA, along with American Bankers Ins. Co. of FL, American Integrity, American Security Insurance Company, American Strategic Insurance, Anchor Property and Casualty Insurance Co., Cabrillo Coastal, General Insurance Agency, LLC, Capitol Preferred Insurance Company, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, Cypress Property and Casualty, FedNat Insurance Company, Florida Association of Insurance Agents, Monarch National Insurance Company, Nationwide Insurance, Olympus Insurance, Security First Insurance Company, Southern Fidelity Ins. Company, Southern Fidelity Property & Casualty, Standard Guaranty Insurance Company, Tower Hill Insurance, Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company, USAA, and Weston Insurance Company.
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “This Panhandle community has lost everything. Many of our towns are wiped off the map. With thousands still without electricity and communications systems mostly non-existent, people can come to this insurance village to get the answers they need to begin the rebuilding process.”

Residents should bring as much documentation as they can:
- A driver’s license or other form of identification. (Passport/State issued ID)
- Insurance cards and insurance policy information/documentation
- Pictures or documentation of the property being claimed as a loss resulting from Hurricane Michael.
- Any additional insurance-related information that is readily accessible.
