Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis conducted an aerial survey of Hurricane Michael damage with Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford’s office.
CFO and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis said, “It’s been two weeks since Hurricane Michael made landfall, causing catastrophic damage to the Panhandle. I’ve been on the ground since the storm passed and I’ve seen first-hand how it has changed lives and devastated these communities. From the air, I was able to grasp the totality of the damage. We still have work to do, but we’ve made progress since the storm hit. I know this area will come back stronger.”
