I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of the three lineworkers in Washington County. Following Hurricane Michael, these three men, along with countless others, worked around-the-clock to restore power and return normalcy to the people in areas that were devastated. They will forever be remembered and are the perfect illustration of the dedication of linemen all across the nation. The hardworking lineworkers of West Florida Electric Cooperative and their mutual aid partners work tirelessly, even in the worst conditions, to provide essential services to the people of Florida. I worked closely with West Florida Electric Cooperative lineworkers for 25 years and have seen their devotion and compassion in action. My heartfelt sympathies are with the families of the deceased and the West Florida Electric Cooperative family as they go through this difficult time.
