Plant City man claims $3 million MEGA MILLIONS® prize

Posted on October 25, 2018

The Florida Lottery announces that Pericles Procopis, 53, of Plant City, claimed a $3 million MEGA MILLIONS® prize from the drawing held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. The winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Mega Ball.

Procopis purchased his winning ticket at RaceTrac, located at 12136 South John Young Parkway in Orlando. The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket. Total ticket sales for this series of MEGA MILLIONS rollovers have generated more than $73.9 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).

Since joining MEGA MILLIONS in 2013, the game has generated more than $431 million for education and has awarded more than $625 million in prizes to 44.2 million players. The next MEGA MILLIONS drawing will be held Friday, October 26, at 11:00 p.m. ET with an estimated $40 million jackpot.
