Nightly Construction Activity at I-4 and S.R. 408 Interchange Planned for Next Three Weeks

Posted on October 30, 2018

Check I4Ultimate.com/408-closures for Weekly Updates of Planned Closures

Ramps and roadways at the Interstate 4 (I-4) and State Road (S.R.) 408 interchange are continuing to be a major focal point of I-4 Ultimate construction.

Eastbound S.R. 408 between Parramore Avenue and Orange Avenue is closing at 10 p.m. on October 30 and 31 through 6 a.m. the following mornings.

In addition to the eastbound S.R. 408 closures, more nightly closures will be necessary to accommodate the construction of new bridges and ramps, including the westbound I-4 exit ramp to eastbound S.R. 408. Motorists should anticipate over the next several weeks increased nighttime construction activity at the interchange.

Motorists can check i4ultimate.com/408-closures for a weekly update of planned closures at the interchange. The page appears on the front of i4ultimate.com, and serves as a supplemental resource in addition to the project’s other media channels. The I-4 Ultimate project has several other avenues for motorists to learn about upcoming nighttime closures at the I-4 and S.R. 408 interchange, including:

  • Sign up for the I-4 Ultimate Advance Construction Alert System to receive text or email alerts about lane, ramp or road closures.
  • Check the I-4 Ultimate interactive construction map for planned closures.
  • Follow @i4Ultimate on Twitter to see the most impactful weekly closures and detours planned on the corridor.
  • Subscribe to I-4 Ultimate newsfeed to learn about upcoming major construction activities by subscribing directly to the website’s newsfeed.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
